This 2 part story arc is w/out a doubt my favorite of Todd's narrative and artistic offerings on Spider-Man - he absolutely nailed GR and this page is a perfect example of that! Congrats dude!!!

Very sorry to hear this piece was stolen but I must admit that I'm also quite happy you posted this as its such a rarity these days to encounter a piece of McFarlane art that is fresh to the eyes. One of very few prelims I've seen and to such a classic issue nonetheless!

Most certainly the inspiration of one of modern comics most iconic images of the Dark Knight - Jim may have refined the image in 608 but he definitely set the stages with this one! Humble beginnings to say the least!!!

Forget the art (I know, it's pretty impossible to do at this level) just the story alone of how you initially approached Travis and all the entertaining "delays" along the way are certainly a part of why this may rank as the best Charest non published piece, period. Just sooo beyond what the rest of the herd is turning out!!!

Felix it was really great meeting you at the con - I was lucky enough to be there when this cover was 1st pulled from its folio and for a brief minute I think the fan boys dressed as Supes walking the show floor found themselves mesmerized by some unknown force… truly a spectacular Superman cover!!! Unfortunately for me, the 200 I had in cash was a tad less than the seller wanted :)
