I just took it out of its Mylar sleeve and it's great shape. And surprising, I found the receipt when I bought it in '98 for $48. Also have a COA. Feels like I hit the lottery... :)

Not a big Al Milgrom fan either but I can certainly see why this meant so much to you. My foray into collecting started with a Hulk comic as well (#144) so I can relate. But while I certainly have artists that I look for, I don't have a specific grail or "must-have" piece in mind. I just collect what appeals to me. Thanks for finally sharing this with us!

Alcala was one of my earliest ink influences - absolutely love his line work. I always felt his pencils weren't as strong but these are some of the best pages I've seen from him. A shame they weren't published. Congrats, beautiful pages!

Awesome cover! I still remember the feeling of reading this storyline and while I liked Colan's work, I didn't full appreciate his mastery of shadow and form until I was much older.

One of the best from the series - absolutely love Hitch's work on The Ultimates! Everything is so big and in your face - really knows how to use scale for maximum effect. Lucky to own one DPS and have accepted the fact I'm unlikely to own another. I'll just live vicariously through everyone else...  :)
