Totally agree, Byrne art in the 80s was awesome.  In my opinion, a fan couldn't go wrong with a Byrne or Perez sketch in the 80s. If you got a sketch from both, well...you hit the jackpot! What a neat time it was with Byrne on X-Men and Perez on Teen Titans.  To think a fan could have walked up and purchased a sketch from either just blows my mind!

Thank you for taking care of the drawing. Did you originally request this DD sketch from Byrne? Yes! I remember the Byrne Uncanny X-Men 133 cover! It was a bada$$ cover to behold in person. After I picked up the cover from Liefeld, I scanned it and made some full size photocopies before mailing it off to Wayne! 

What a great Samnee cover! Who says you can't find treasures on eBay?! It's a great synthesis of modern and traditional techniques; a print out of the rough drawing on board, tightening with pencil the final drawing and then hand inking. Just an all around great cover. The bonus "thank you" drawing from Samnee just proves he is a class act!

I can't resist resisting the significance of this issue, the awesomenes of each page, and the epicness of this page in particular. Way to kick it up to 12 (instead of 11, because this is from issue 12 of course) with the dialog overlay.

GEEZ! There really aren't any bad pages from this annual, but damn, this is a GREAT page.  You just can't ever go wrong with a page featuring all the X-men in battle. You can now stop buying Art Adams pages, it just doesn't get better than this. This page also appears to be one of the few pages that was spared being oddly cut at the top and bottom because of whatever the "Chemical Strip In" process was. Out of curiosity, what date was the page finished? Some time in May of 1985? The penciled date at the bottom right corner is hard to make out in your picture. Thanks for sharing.

I never tire of Jaime's work. He's such a remarkable storyteller. On this page he's firing on all cylinders; the economy of line, each character is fully realized and unique (look at panel 1 with Maggie holding her hands or panel 3 with Maggie walking with her head down or, shoot all the shots of Hopey being, well...Hopey!), every figure in every panel so exquisitely drawn. Thanks for sharing

Wow! I don't think I've seen Snow Bird drawn so beautifully...ever.

Timm has the ability to ink in different styles. I don't know which artist/inker he was channeling, but I really like the scratchy and rough inking particularly around the face and hair. 

Timm sure does have a knack for it, doesn't he?

This page is so beautiful and ooooo..., scerey monsters in the first panel!!  To my uneducated eyes, the vigorous inking on this page could be by the master himself....Arthur Adams? It's pure speculation on my part as my eyes are old and weary.  

What a great page featuring Loki and Storm! I really like the behind the scene look at the creative process with the replacement panels. The best part....bonus art!!! Does the page still have the $200 price written in pencil on the back?

What a lovely piece.  Based on the ebay auction information for this drawing, it's a drawing of the Wonder TEENS, not Wonder Twins.  Your drawing of the Wonder Teens is a creation from Darrell McNeils's company, Gold Medal Productions not Hanna-Barbera. The main figure of the female was also featured in a seperate auction, colored and slightly altered with a trademark / copyright of "2002 GOLD MEDAL productions"  Regardless, it a beauty!
