Beautiful!  The layout and perspective are spot on, but I think my favorite part is the sheer terror captured in Jack's face.  Emotive cover, congrats! 

Appreciate you, Bill!  Mike is how I discovered CGs about 6 years ago and I immediately loved them...they feel like a connection to the 20th century's lost comic publishing bullpens.  Sometimes, Romita would get a stack of them back from Chemical Printing, while in this case it was Andy Yanchus who did the work then got it back after it was used to create the printing plates.  They are cool little pieces of comic history :) 

Super cool!  Something about roll-call covers always catch my eye. 

Coin flip between Marie Sev and George Roussos as my best guess. I have a harder time finding colorist info in the bronze age and earlier unless it came directly from the artist, and this one came from Romita who did NOT color it.

Man, in the game of "if you only could have one example" this one is TOUGH to beat.  Fantastic example of the era's best.

It would be a challenge for an artist of Adams' skillset to revert back to his youth and relegate himself to an exact tracer over old lines, but that's the only way to do it right IMO. Then he could add "Reinked for fading in 2023 -  Art Adams" to the back of the board, etc etc 

It preserves the original team, original look, and ceases the fading. I fear, otherwise, it will be nearly invisible someday. I get the uncertainty in retouching published art, but I feel the ship is setting sail if not sailed already. No easy answer for an absolutely classic piece of art.
