We run down all the popular artworks posted to CAF between August 28-September 3, 2023, and also review highlights from sales reported from original Comic Art Dealers and Auction Houses for the same periods.
I've selected 10 auction lots this week from show sponsor Heritage Auctions upcoming Weekly Comic Art Auction that I've chosen to feature. We start things off with this fantastic Al Williamson Blade Runner #1 page from 1982, an unused Batman preliminary cover design by Alex Ross that is fantastic, a Herb Trimpe Incredible Hulk page from Issue #161 with Hulk rampaging all over it, this crackling Keith Giffen Legion of Super-Heroes #294 page with Orion and Darkseid battling (and there is another Giffen LoSH page in this auction!), an Alex Toth House of Mystery #182 page from 1969, a David Mazzucchelli X-Factor #16 page, a John Byrne Fantastic Four #292 page, this panelriffic (!) Excalibur Special page by Steve Lightle and Jimmy Palmiotti, a Butch Guice Action Comics DPS featuring the long haired Man of Steel, and finally this Bill Reinhold Prowler #4 DPS. As you can see, a little something for everyone's taste in this upcoming weekly Heritage auction!
