unnamed sergeant; South Korean soldiers [Yup-in-Pai (death); others unnamed]; Colonel Jun (villain, death); Li (villain, death); Kung (villain, death) | An American-South Korean patrol comes upon a group of massacred soldiers, all with their hands tied behind their backs with their own shoelaces and shot down. There is one who is still alive and he tells the sergeant what had happened: a North Korean officer had the Sergeant's men shot, then stripped of uniforms, which were then donned by the enemy troops. Unfortunately for them, they ran across a band of North Koreans who mis-took them for Americans and killed them all. |

Eisenhower (unnamed, cameo); The Nazis (villains, many die) | During the D-Day invasion in June of 1944, one Pvt. Smith, often considered by his Sergeant to be a coward, engaged himself in many battles during the campaign, including a battle in which he held off the Germans while the Sergeant was supposed to blow a bridge over which the enemy would attack. A Tiger tank, able to cross the bridge because it was not destroyed, killed the young Private while the Sergeant became a victim of battle fatigue and didn't complete his mission. |

Louis Lafourche (villain, death) | Prisoner Lafourche had kept his word and escaped from Devil's Island, boarded a boat with food and water, and rode the currents toward safety in Brazil. He soon ran out of water but dared not drink the salty sea water, and on the 7th day, when he was rescued by a ship, he quickly died, not realizing that the water he was floating on contained fresh, not salt water! |

Corporal Donald Deever (death) | Signal Corps Corporal Deever was inching his way up the side of a treacherous hill, seeking the enemy cannon that held an entire regiment at bay. When he discovered that it was actually a constantly moving self-propelled cannon, he radioed his forces to rain shells down on his position to put the gun out of commission, costing him his life. |
