The Baltimore Comic-Con is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2024 the weekend of September 20-22, 2024 at the Inner Harbor's Baltimore Convention Center. We are elated to be able to announce the appearance of superstar artist Leinil Francis Yu at our 25th Anniversary event! There will be a special limited (50) ticket event for him on Friday where fans will receive one signed print, five autographs, and a selfie (if they choose). Tickets for the show are and for fan experiences with Leinil are now on sale.

Leinil Francis Yu, Filipino artist, winner of Wizard's Drawing Board Contest, Wizard's Artist of the Year in 2008, and a Marvel Young Gun, began his comics career at Marvel with a run on Wolverine. He then moved on to work on Uncanny X-Men and X-Men, and continued to work on other Marvel titles such as Fantastic Four, Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk, and New Avengers. Elsewhere, he co-created High Roads with writer Scott Lobdell at Cliffhanger, and Superman: Birthright with Mark Waid and Silent Dragon with Andy Diggle at DC Comics.

His run on Marvel's New Avengers series ended with #37 so he could begin working on Secret Invasion. He also completed his work on Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk series before going on to work on Ultimate Comics: Avengers 2.

On April 9, 2011, Yu was one of 62 comics creators who appeared at the IGN stage at the Kapow! convention in London to set two Guinness World Records, the Fastest Production of a Comic Book, and Most Contributors to a Comic Book. Yu provided the book's front cover, and the book, Superior, was completed in 11 hours, 19 minutes, and 38 seconds, later being published through Icon.

In 2018, Marvel relaunched a new volume of Captain America, with Yu as artist. In 2019, Yu created the first Filipino superhero, Wave, who first appeared in War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1. Today, Yu continues his large body of work at Marvel regularly with comic covers and variants.

"When we heard Leinil may be interested in coming to Baltimore this year, we were beside ourselves" said Marc Nathan, show promoter for the Baltimore Comic-Con.
