Gil Kane
Gil Kane (1926-2000) was a Latvian-born American comics artist whose career spanned the 1940s to the 1990s and virtually every major comics company and character. Kane co-created the modern-day versions of the superheroes Green Lantern and the Atom for DC Comics, and co-created Iron Fist with Roy Thomas for Marvel Comics.
Years ago, Glen Brunswick, owner of PANEL PAGE ART, met a prestigious art dealer that had a Madison Avenue gallery. He asked the dealer how he could tell if a piece of art was good or not. The dealer said he based his opinion on a gut feeling. He had to love the art he represented at least a little bit. It's this philosophy that goes into every piece of art we buy and sell.
