Description

Never did I expect to own one page from the "One More Day" finale - let alone TWO! This one is page 11 from Amazing Spider-Man #545 by Joe Quesada & inker Danny Miki, and chronologically follows page 5 in my collection.

This is actually the last page which features Peter & Mary Jane alone as a married couple, because on the next page, Mephisto joins them. This is their very last moment, alone, together, reminiscing about better times. This is shown in the first four panels. Very effectively with those touching close-ups, too.

The fourth panel shows Mary Jane, for the very first time, considering to go along with the Devil's Deal, while the last one shows Peter's reaction and (in the published version), the sound/onomatopoeia of Mephisto disturbing them.

A lot can be said about the story. I'm not going into that here, but the cinematic storytelling on display here by Joe Quesada. Now that's master class.
