I admit it. I am just a war comic fan.

Joe Kubert had a long career, working on more comics than can be summarized here and creating a legacy in training other artists through his school (and of course his sons). To me, I remember his distinctive artwork in his handling of Sgt. Rock, and the balance of the DC war books. This cover (from almost 40 years ago - yikes!) is a great example of his ability to use perspective and detail to create drama. I also love how he used an Eisner technique of building the title into the image.

Just great for me all the way around.
