DescriptionWallace Wood: Cannon #C-67 Sunday Comic Strip Original Art (Wood and Richter, 1972). Published in military newspapers during the Vietnam War era, Wood's Cannon featured fast cars, international intrigue, and ravishing (and often naked) women. The ink and Zipatone over blue pencil strip was drawn on two pieces of thin Bristol board and showcased Wood's ability to capture quick-paced action and adventure. Just a few spots of whiteout. The title logo is pasted on stat. The overall image size measures approximately 23" x 17", and the art is in Excellent condition.Provenance: Heritage Signature Auction, June 2023 Social/Sharing |
