DescriptionD.C. Comics. October, 2008.The scan for this really does not do the bottom panel justice. A masterfully crafted page from the Joker graphic novel. Jonny Jonny seals his fate after saying he really is sorry. As it turns out the thing Joker hates more than anything is apologies! sorry Jonny At the same time, Two-Face calls on Batman with a makeshift Bat-Signal. I especially like how the line splitting the bottom panel doubles as part of the window frame the two characters are looking out of, further separating them after Jonny's apology. Genius. The bottom panel is all Bermejo in a combination of pencil, ink and ink wash. As always, scans don't do Lee's art justice and it's much more apparent on these rendered pages. He does so much layering of graphite on top of ink that you really need to see it in person to get all the rich details. Signed & dated "Mick Gray 2010" in the bottom margin. Social/Sharing |
