From Comic Art Live XI.

I purchased a couple mystery sketches for CAL-11. I like to give some options. Typically I will list some musical bands that I like, then also include some comic book characters in case they are not feeling the musicians or don't like to draw living (or dead) people.

The order form has a limit on the number of characters (letters/numbers) so I had to truncate a bit. This time the options I gave were:

Musical bands:
- Ghost (Papa Emeritus III or V)
- Marilyn Manson
- Misfits (Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein or Crimson Ghost)
- Behemoth (Nergal from Bartzabel video)

Comic related:
- Dark Judges

This one went to Leo Sandler from Splash Page Art. When I opened the package (compliments to Mark Hay on the secure packaging), I saw this fantastic Papa Emeritus III artwork with the Nameless Ghouls. Papa III was the lead singer of Ghost when I started listening to them. One thing to note is the Nameless Ghouls masks floating above Papa are the correct version for the album he fronted (Meliora). The reason for that according to Mark was that Leo is a Ghost fan and was excited to get the request!!!

Fun Fact: I am actually in this music video. It is blurry, but I am sitting in the front row (around 1:43). The video was filmed at an abandoned church in Detroit. I applied, and got the notification the morning of that I had been selected. It was cold, no working onsite restrooms and took 4 hours, but it was a blast. RIP Papa III.
