I told myself I would not buy any more Bolland prelims...and then this popped up. My collection was lacking a Bolland Dredd, so I threw a bid at the auction and then went to a movie. When I got out I found out that the auction was over and I was the high bidder. I love the humor and was happy to add it to the collection. Now, no more prelims....

Master British artist Brian Bolland illustrated this pure pencil prelim cover on paper featuring Judge Dredd for Time Out Magazine #626 (1982). The image features Dredd manhandling a punk who humorously states "He's Tough...But He's Fair!".

A few years before he became a sensation in the USA, Bolland first made his mark starting in the late 1970s on the adventures of Great Britain's Judge Dread in the pages of 2000 AD. Dredd is a law enforcement official in the dystopian future of Mega-City One. His adventures have been published from 1977 to the present.

Time Out Magazine is a global publication that launched in London in 1968 as a free publication that was part of the alternative press.
