Description

I love this commission! It’s inspired by Mazzucchelli, but distinctly Arthur Adams. I knew that this would be good no matter what Arthur drew, but he exceeded my expectations. I’ve always loved Art’s comic cover recreations that included title dresses and corner boxes, but didn’t see any opportunity to get one of those commissions done. With that in mind I digitally recreated DC art boards and all the title dress elements myself. I then inked them traditionally over printed grey lines and gave it to Art for my Batman commission. As a result the finished art looks completely traditional. Huge thanks to Arthur for taking on this convention sketch commission and thanks to the Essential Sequential crew for helping me set this up.
