Description

Jeff Moy was an artist on The Legion of Super-Heroes over a five year period mostly in Post-Zero Hour reboot in The Legionnaires title.

I've always liked his Legion work and decided that he might do a good job on one of my faux S&S 100 covers.So, I Send Emailemailed him with my usual pitch.

He agreed! (obviously).

I'd forgotten my suggestion until I started this Description. Here's what I sent him:

S&S meet the Legion of Super-Heroes who in your version seem about the right age to be their babysitters. Anyway, the concept is that Brainiac 5 is missing and they need help to overcome a menace so they flew back in time to get Bernie the Brain, S&S's pal.

The kids can't talk to adults, but they can talk to other babies, even baby animals. In this case, we might have Saturn Girl to use telepathy to explain that they need to find Bernie. Maybe it's an Espionage team (Cham (transforming to a baby animal?, Vi (shrinking to baby size to not scare them), PG, Invisible Kid, ...). Of course, Bernie is also missing! I can see a cover blurb with Bernie's head and something like "Case of the Missing Brains."

For the cover, he chose my suggested version of the Legion of Super-Heroes Espionage Squad:

I guess he liked my idea though as always I'm open to suggestions.
