Finally get to share this masterpiece. One of my very top favorite modern artists, Ian Bertram, completed probably my single best piece of visual art last year. He took his time to watch and take in the series and movie and unveiled this beauty on Instagram just before it was fully completed.

This, I believe, is Ian's interpretation of Unit-02 and Asuka's awakening in the "End of Evangelion." What kicks off the greatest action/battle scene in animation history. Unit-02's 4 eyes glow brightly while a halo of something like water surrounds it. Just incredibly well composed and the detail and embellishments are clearly Bertram-esque. At a giant 20 x 30 inches, I'm so incredibly happy to have such a piece in my collection. It's a pinnacle in my commission collecting.

When Felix shared this piece on his Instagram, it basically went viral with tens of thousands of likes. Deservedly so. I tried to share the piece in a haul video on the YouTube channel and it all wouldn't fit:
