Description

A big part of the reason I went to Rose City Comicon 2023 (apart from the extensive dining and drinking that weekend promised) was because Juanjo Guarnido was going to be on the west coast for the first time in over a decade. A super rare appearance, so I made sure to hit his table early to get on his commission list. He was very nice, signed books (pointing out that one of mine had been stolen from a French library at some point) and when I came back the next day he presented me with a mixed media piece on toned paper that captured his most famous character. Original pages from Blacksad books are pretty out of reach, both with regards to availability and price, so I was happy to add this to the collection.
