Description

As many of you know, Jeff is nearly impossible to get art from, with almost all of his published work being donated to the Billy over the years. With Jeff having never taken on public commissions in over 40 years, I jumped at the opportunity to get a 14x17, fully art-directed, cover-quality piece. The last piece I got was a dream, but I wanted something that felt more like a full cover since I’ll never be able to get one. When I thought of “what’s the perfect classic pose”, the Star Wars Hildebrandt painting instantly came to mind. With Star Wars being a series we both thoroughly enjoy, one that had a significant influence on Jeff, and given the recent passing of Greg Hildebrandt, it felt like the perfect choice.

My eternal gratitude to Jeff.
