I ADORED the Peter David run on X-factor in the 90s .. it was such a refreshing change from just being the �original� X-men book for so long � David took a true �C� squad of mutants.. made them government sponsored added a ton of fun and intrigue combined with Stroman�s unique style came up with a truly engaging and charming comic! By this point I was all about those obscure mutants when they showed up so this team of misfits was perfect. Stroman and Milgrom were just as much an odd couple as the new X-factor but they worked soooo well � Milgrom seemed to keep the unbounded creativity of Stroman grounded enough for a main stream x title.. so when the corner box art was offered to me in trade.. I had to make it happen.. I cannot think of a more iconic image of the team (maybe the 71 cover) - it so captures David�s tone. When I thought about it.. I prefer this as my example over most of the covers in the run! Thanks Rich!

It was later remastered as the cover to X-Factor 1 for the 2020 volume as the hidden gem variant
