Description

The last issue of DWJ’s Transformers run hits the stands this week and what a run it was. The first arc was my favorite, nothing beats when DWJ is both writing and drawing a series. And although I would have preferred DWJ drawing the whole series, tapping Jorge Corona was for the remaining arcs was the next best thing. Will this be an evergreen run? Time will tell.

I was thrilled to add this half splash from issue 1 to my collection as it has some many cool components. The scale showcased in the first panel with Carly and Spike hiding behind Starscream’s arm immediately establishes how outmatched the humans really are. The bottom panel is incredibly detailed with the peek at the under workings of Strarscream as he is being assembled. And, as a bonus, it features Bumblebee with an intact face.
