DescriptionLET'S RUMBLE!!!The layout of this page makes me feel like I'm reading/watching a classic 80s Hong Kong kung fu action sequence. Corona drops us right into the action with a double kick into the 'camera', Steph launches Cass into an attack, who in turn sets up Steph's aerial kick, and then goes into a straight out brawl with them coming back together to punch the last guy at the same time. It really does give me Jackie and Sammo vibes a la "Project A", complete with flowing in and out of solo/cooperative attacks. Batgirls immediately grabbed me with the fresh take on our intrepid trio with Barbara in a mentor role to Cass and Steph. Becky Cloonan is really good at bouncing characters off each other naturally, and Jorge Corona's art paired with it lends the PERFECT texture to match the vibe! Also, this page ended up being used as the inside cover of the first TPB! Still a little surreal that I have this -- it's still sitting out on display waiting to be sorted into the binder.
