Description

The cover art to Strega by Andrew Vachss, the Signet paperback, 1987. Cover image uncredited, but George Hagenauer said it most likely involved work by Doug Beekman. It is a photo print, not a painting, but Doug Beekman may have done some paint elements before the final photo print. The bit of tape you see is where they attached the overlay for the cover verbiage.

Strega was the second Burke novel by Andrew Vachss. I�m a huge fan of his writing and supporter of his mission. He is sorely missed. I am sure the world is less just without him. I am happy to say I shared a small bit of communication online with him some years back, we exchanged some bows.

I am deeply honored to have this piece, a piece from his never ending battle against those who would hurt children.

I am very grateful to George Hagenauer for selling this to me (this was the third piece I purchased from him, please see my Scooby Doo page post for the story).
