Álvaro Martinez BuenoCo-creator of DC Black Label’s bestselling and Eisner Award-winning series The Nice House On The Lake, Álvaro Martínez Bueno is a Spanish comic artist, currently working exclusively with DC Comics.
Well-known for combining masterful compositions with hyper detail, he has created some of the most awe-inspiring artwork to hit comics in years.
In his long career at DC Comics, he has illustrated many titles, including the legendary Batman, Detective Comics, Justice League Dark, Aquaman, Poison Ivy, Batman & Robin, Batman Eternal, Batman & Robin Eternal, Robin War, Grayson, Convergence: Booster Gold, Teen Titans, and Nightmare Country. Many to these, with his long time partner in crime the script writer James Tynion IV.
He is also well known for his work as a cover and interior artist on many major titles for Marvel Comics (Ultimate Comics: X-Men, Cataclysm: Ultimate X-Men, Iron Man Annual), Valiant Entertainment (Harbinger, Archer & Armstrong), Image Comics (Department of Truth, Nocterra), and Boom! Studios (House of Slaughter, Wynd).
