Born in Paris in 1971, Ralph Meyer nurtured a passion for drawing at a very young age. At the age of twenty, he left to take illustration and comics courses at the Institut Saint-Luc in Ličge. In 1996, he presented his work to screenwriter Philippe Tome, who offered him a particularly dark story. A year later the first volume of the Berceuse assassine trilogy appeared (ed. Dargaud). In the meantime, together with other authors, he founded the Sometimes I Have Hard Workshop . There he co-designed the album Des Lendemains sans clouds with his friend Bruno Gazzotti, on a screenplay by Fabien Vehlmann. Still with Fabien Vehlmann, in 2003 he embarked on the science fiction series Ian(ed. Dargaud), consisting of four volumes. In 2008, he signed with Xavier Dorison the first volume of the XIII Mystery collection (ed. Dargaud) recounting the life of the Mongoose, for which he received the Saint-Michel Prize in Brussels. In 2010, he achieved an important graphic turning point with the release of Page noire (ed. Futuropolis), a one-shot scripted by Denis Lapičre and Frank Giroud. In 2012, he found Xavier Dorison for the diptych, Asgard (ed. Dargaud), which immersed him in Nordic landscapes. In 2014, Xavier and Ralph, accompanied by Caroline Delabie for coloring, embarked on a new successful series Undertaker (ed. Dargaud), the sixth of which will be released in 2021.
