Kopecki, Dave
I am a true comic fanboy at heart and I have loved comics for as long as I can remember. The magic, the mystery, the adventure, the hot babes, the big guns, all of it. Comics were a huge part of my childhood, and well into my teens. Even now, I enjoy reading comics when I can. This unwavering love of comics led me into the wonderful world of collecting original comic art. Now it has expanded to not just comic art but also trading card art, book and magazine illustration art, animation cels, toy designs and packaging art, movie posters, anime/manga, Drink & Draw coasters, and more!
My focus is primarily on the comic art I loved back in the '90s, mostly early Image/Wildstorm (pre-DC) artwork especially the titles like Wildcats, Gen 13, Backlash, Stormwatch, Swimsuit Specials, and all the trading card sets they did. I also loved most of the early Image stuff by the founders, Chaos Comics (Steven Hughes & Justiniano mostly), Valiant (pre-Acclaim & new VE), Dark Horse (Buffy, Hellboy, AvP, etc), all the various indie companies of the "Bad Girl" age and more aside from all the various Marvel & DC books I grew up reading. So there is also some '70s and '80s art as well. So my collection is a little eclectic:)
*2026 GOALS: Currently I am specifically on the lookout for a nice Jim Lee page from the Batman Hush storyline, a Crow page from the original series by James O'Barr, a Daredevil or Elektra page by Frank Miller, a published TMNT page from Eastman & Laird from the Mirage days, and a Mike Collins page from Uncanny X-men #266 with Gambit on it. Can offer trade, cash, or a combo of both!
I love to talk art with fellow collectors, and I am a huge fan of trading art as some of my best pieces came from trades. So if you see something you like here or have something you think I might like, please do reach out. (Items labeled as "Permanent Collection" might be hard to get from me, but anything is possible in this game) I am always specifically looking for more artwork by Jim Lee, Arthur Adams, Todd McFarlane, Travis Charest, J. Scott Campbell, Bernie Wrightson, and Steven Hughes. But as you can see from my CAF I like a wide range of stuff as well so you never know. I love to chat with fellow collectors and can be reached via email at madman1138@yahoo.com with any questions. Thank you!
I've noticed others rotating their featured art, and so I thought I'd start doing that periodically.
This period's theme is: Commission art by my buddy Dana Black! font>
