I was a huge fan of Joss Whedon's Firefly from the very beginning, and the pilot had me hooked. (little did I know they switched up the episodes to start with like the 3rd episode, but still it was solid right from the start I thought) The show was unique, interesting, and refreshingly combines future tech with past tech and sensibility and I loved it. Sadly, Fox cancelled the show halfway through season 1, and all the potential and promise was lost to us fans. But then came the rally for a movie, and Serenity was made! Although not a huge box office hit, it was a well told film that gave us more of the story and finally explained some things.
