Sasaku Kusuriyubi is a painter who is based in Wakayama, Japan. They playfully utilize animism as motifs to depict surreal scenes and wonderfully strange characters. The artist's eccentric use of color and humanoid figures are as fascinating and wonderful as they are strange. Their work certainly otherworldly and alien but, at its core, portrays a deeply human aspect and childlike wonder. |
