Description

This original art was used for page 52 of 2000 AD Annual 88 (1988/Fleetway Publications) in a Judge Dredd story. The art was penciled, inked and painted by Brendan McCarthy. McCarthy has always strived for originality , creativity and uniqueness in his art and it's presentation. Here he has used a 14+3/4" X 21+1/2" piece of brown construction paper for the foundation of the page. All of the art on the page is painted directly onto this paper, except for panels 2 and 5 which were done on separate boards that were then pasted onto the construction paper. All the words are pasted onto a mylar-like plastic sheet overlaying the art. It's all in very nice shape.
