DescriptionThis original art was penciled by Steve Rude and inked by Dave Stevens. Stevens has signed this in the bottom margin. Nexus inker Gary Martin made a book (and a couple follow-ups) called "The Art of Comic Book Inking." One of the best parts of the book is a folio at the end, where Martin asked various inkers to ply their considerable brush talents to the same blueline illustration by Steve Rude, so that readers can learn from the choices each artist made handling the same four panel page as source material. The illustration on the site is Dave Steven's contribution. So it's not over actual Steve Rude pencils. The art area measures 10" x 15", and it's in very nice, clean shape except for a tiny 1/4" tear in the second panel, inside the jigsaw puzzle piece-looking shape in the top right corner, and |
