DescriptionFor me, comic art collecting is largely a nostalgia-driven hobby. My Red Skull pin-up? In Bring on the Bad Guys. My Romita Goblin page? The large panel was used in the 60s cartoon that brought me to comics. Images I’ve loved and remembered. But the Joker has always been my favorite DC character. And as a Bronze age kid, nothing was more fun than creating my own twisted stories using Megos. The Joker and his Jokermobile were Mego classics – my all-time favorite toys – which brings me to this pin-up. This great Infantino/Anderson pin-up epitomized the Joker as I knew him via Mego. It was the artwork on the box. It was on a card that inserted into the Jokermobile. It was on the Jokermobile wheels. Not to mention Pepsi glasses, watches, and just about anytime DC needed an image of the Clown Prince of Crime. I feel so blessed to have scored this piece. Quite honestly, I can’t think of another Joker piece I’d rather have from a “joy of owning/viewing” perspective. And for me that’s what it’s all about. Social/Sharing |

That's a hall of famer. Had that pinup framed on my wall with the rest of the set. Bravo!

Very cool piece. I know that feeling when you score a Carmine dream piece.

The most iconic image of the Joker back in the 1970s!
