A beautiful panel page. Just finished listening to latest Felix podcast and the way Andy Beall describes the flow of the art and how certain panel pages are better than the cover, is a terrific reminder of why I love panel pages. And they are not as costly. In either case, Mike Perkins brings Swamp Thing to life in this page.

Panel pages are where the story's at! Covers and splashes are awesome, but my nostalgia will usually attach to the story. And what a great panel page here, with that fantastic floated Swampy image in the last panel. I love how Perkins creates depth by layering images and panels. It's really a four panel page, but he makes it a five panel page by using the floated panels to create a break, and create a background so that you can have such great depth. Nice score. Congrats!

I'm in absolute agreement - there's more story and more naunced design work in panel pages - often by a long shot. This piece is breathtaking! It follows nobly in the raried tradition of the best of the Swampy artists who have gone before - Wrightson, Totleben or Alcala-worthy.

Stunning piece, thanks for sharing - I now have a new artist to add to my humble collection!
