Description

Brian Michael Bendis' Avengers saga is one of my favorite storylines in all of comic history. I set a collecting goal to obtain a page from each of the artist to contribute interior art to the New Avengers series, then realized that I should expand that goal to every artist to contribute interior art to all the Avengers titles which Bendis wrote by himself.
I love this page because I have always enjoyed John Romita Jr.'s work, and this page features 14 major players in Bendis' Avengers Saga! Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Steve Rogers, Mister Fantastic, Mockingbird, Hawkeye, Valkyrie, Black Widow, Spider-Man, The Protector (aka Marvel Boy aka Noh-Varr), The Thing, Doctor Strange, Sharon Carter, and Iron Man. Looks great, Dr. F! Lots ot love here: not only the incredible array of Avengers here (hey, Mr. F was on the roster! And once an Avenger... I believe Johnny Storm is the only core FF member not to have also been a full member of the Avengers at some point... I think Ben even had two stints...?), but the cool tech, ship, etc... A highlight of all the Bendis books in my eyes was the "dinner table conversation"; Brian always went out of his way to get his heroes together and have them start chatting, and at this point, in this event, a modified Quinjet trip to the next knuckleduster is about the only time that could happen. Great add to your collection! Congrats!
