Description

Michael Maikowsky is a big John Buscema fan who recently posted a lot of his Buscema recreations on the John Buscema Yahoo Group. He did them mainly for himself because of his love of Big John's work, but when I saw them, I made sure he got noticed by the other members of the group, and he has now gotten a lot of commission requests. Knowing that this is my favorite JB Conan cover (for obvious reasons) he sent this to me as a 'Thank you'! Since it's my understanding that the Buscema family has the original and my chances of ever getting it are slim, it's a gesture I very much appreciate!

Thats my favorite Conan cover too. Perfect rendition of Conan. Wow, what a great recreation.

What an amazing piece! The viewer can literally feel the muscle tension and ferocity of that lion, and the Conan rendition isn't bad either! Buscema is an art God.

Well Joe, I was going to say that I'd be standing right behind you in line waiting for this one, but since I now know that the Buscema family owns it, I guess I should just get in line for a recreation! My all time favorite Big John Conan cover as well. Such a special treat being able to see it in b&w. Thanks for sharing, and of course, congratulations!
