Description

Joseph Mackie did the pencils and inks.It really is tight and beautiful work. I contacted him through Ebay and he and his assistant MIa were very diligent, delightful to deal with and detail orientated. He even was kind enough to add an extra "Starman" into the mix when I couldn't decide which ones to settle on.

Like other commissions in "The Summoning" series, I wanted to highlight characters that would have their own Infinite Timelines mini-series and explain their presence. Just as Chapter 4 establishes the arrival of Dr. Fate and The Phantom Stranger, this one links the legacy of those who wear the "Star" name and carry the Cosmic Rod. Starman Issue 50 which featured a meeting between Jack Knight and the Legion was my inspiration for this Chapter.

John Watson was very gracious to fix a costume & continuity glitch of my own making and did it in such a way that it blended seamlessly into Joe's work. Russ Payne did a great job in adding logo's and lettering to a beautiful executed piece.

As a big Starman fan, I love this piece. I don’t know I missed it before, but I saw it when it was shared on a Legion Facebook page today.
