Description

I contacted John in an attempt to commission a Burroughs piece or buy one of the illustrations he did for the British Tarzan Annuals years ago. He said he did not think he ever received any of the Tarzan art back and unfortunately he could not take on a commission. After complaining about this to my son, he prompted my wife to contact John and Liliana in an attempt to get something for my birthday that year. Between the two ladies they decided on this piece because it was used as the frontis to Michael Moorcock's Burroughs pastiche "Kane of Old Mars". I think it may be the only Bolton Burroughs art I'll ever get.
