People seem to miss this especially these days as he's gotten more abstract but Mignola was heavily influenced by Frank Frazetta and this is a riff off of Frazetta. This might be tarzan or conan, maybe just a generic barbarian.

Reminds me a bit of Mike Ploog as well.That sword sheath does look a lot like a guitar
