Description

Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura had a short try-out run as a Viz comic for the English language market, but it was her Ranma 1/2 which really took off. Lela Dowling returned to Big Wow ComicFest in 2013 and I spotted this piece among her offerings. The color piece was done animation style: cel paint on clear plastic. The design concept (additional image) was done in pencil. Lela and her husband Frank Cirocco have started an online wildlife gallery Skyland Gallery.
