Boris the Bear meets Eastman and Laird

What happens when a parody falls into the hands of those who caused the parody in the first place...

Back in 1984 when TMNT was created, Kevin and Peter would never have imagined that in the following two years, SO many other comics would spring up in a similar vein to theirs. It made such an impression on the comic industry, that the subject matter of Boris the Bear #1 (from a then fledgling Dark Horse) is the titular "hero" killing everyone involved in the spiral of death.

The person who sold me this issue had presented said comic to Kevin and Peter at a comic show in 1986, whereupon they "commented" in their own inimitable way to what they thought about it.
