"It is the year 1945 and all the world is at war." Breeze Barton of the American Air Force discovers the Japanese army staging a surprise attack in South Africa. Attempting to fly to London to warn the Allied powers, he is shot down. Hopelessly lost amid the burning sands, Barton stumbles across an incredible city of the future in the heart of the Sahara Desert, Miracle City, populated by refugees from all the ages of man. From the city's chief scientist, Zanoba, Barton learns that Miracle City actually exists in a strange dimension outside of time from which there is no escape. After defending the city against an attack by "the Demon People", the hostile natives of this dimension, Barton departs the city with the beautiful Ann Barclay, hoping to find his way back to his own time by using the magnetizer, an invention of Zanoba's.
In their next adventure Barton and Ann do escape the lost dimension, but return to Earth in 1995 and a post-apocalyptic world that has been reduced to barbarism and savagery by the war Barton left behind. The pair spent the remainder of the strip's duration struggling to find allies and rebuild civilization.
Through unsigned, the three Breeze Barton adventures have been subsequently attributed to Jack Binder (pencils) and E.C. Stoner (inks).
