DescriptionFrom "Blood Feud" in "X-Men Annual" #6. This was the first issue of "X-Men" that I ever read, and if I hadn't already been hooked on Marvel, this one did the job. I had no idea who all these characters were, but the annual was a great crash-course in who's who. And seriously? An ultra-powered super-hero team fighting Dracula (and nearly losing)? Sign me up. Also liked how Claremont and Sienkiewicz chose to portray the villain as he was written in "Tomb of Dracula": a nobleman who just happens to also be a monster. (Which means that he's quite cultured and polite, up to the point when he starts breaking necks.) It made the character charismatic and frightening at the same time, as vampires should be.Social/Sharing |
