DescriptionAt the begining of the 80's, Philippe Druillet published a wonderful large-size portfolio illustrating Roger Zelazny's masterpiece "Creatures of Light and Darkness" (strongly recommended, if you can find a copy! I mean, both the book AND the portfolio...).I just wished it could have been the teaser for a full-fledged adaptation in comic form. A feat, I think, only an artist of Druillet's magnitude could acheive! This never materialized, and some of the illustrations he had created then were recycled into a later project of his: Flaubert's "Salammbô" (another excellent choice, by the way...). As an added bonus, I have this small portrait of the Steel General, sketched by Druillet on the original portfolio. I have also added the 6 original plates, just for fun! Social/Sharing |
