Description

Convention sketch from Wizard World Chicago 2013 and Baltimore Comic Con 2013 on X-men #1 blank. CGC SS 9.8.

I had intended for this to be both sketched and colored at Wizard World Chicago, but the book was one of several pieces of art stolen from Harvey's table at the convention. He worked his butt off to re-do the stolen commissions, but unfortunately this meant that by the time he was done, there wasn't enough time left to get it colored at the same convention. As a result the book was subbed with CGC and then cracked open at Baltimore Comic Con to have Laura Martin color it.

Troubled genesis aside, I'm very happy with how this piece turned out in the end. Harvey's drawn a lot of Betsys after his work on the 4-issue Psylocke mini-series, but I think Laura's wonderful colors really make this one pop.
