Description

Convention sketch from Wizard World Ohio 2013 on X-men #1 blank. CGC SS 9.8.

Humberto Ramos has a very distinctive art style that can be a bit hit or miss. Some love it, some hate it. I've been interested in getting a sketch from him for a while, and when Doug of comicsketchart.com offered me a chance to get a full figure with detailed background, I figured it was the right time to get one done.

I asked for an image of X-23 from the issue of New X-men drawn by Ramos where she fights and defeats Lady Deathstrike. Depicted is X-23 after her victory with the snow around her spattered with blood.

I'm very happy with how it turned out, I think it's one of Ramos' better sketch covers. Humberto himself said he loved working on this piece and I think it shows.

Thanks, Patrick. I've had a lot of nice comments from people who've seen this one, it seems to be one of those Ramos sketches that even non-fans can appreciate.
