Description

Pen & ink piece by Orson Lowell, from Everybody's magazine 1916, from a story called 'Captain, My Captain!' by Alice Garland Steele. Lowell was a master line artist in the early part of the 1900s, a contemporary of James Montgomery Flagg and Charles Dana Gibson. Lowell provided a number of striking illustrations for Everybody's in this time zone. This one is around 14" square.
