Description

I hope Craig doesn't mind, but his description of the piece was spot on, so I've copied it below:

"Hannibal crossing the Pyrenees mountains with his tell tale elephants in tow. Here is a man that made Rome and it's strength tremble in fear. This all happened about 218 BC. I LOVE that Krenkel drew a scene of this period in history!

This original pen and marker drawing has written on it: RGK Hannibal No. 2. I am guessing the significance of the "No. 2" on the drawing is to define that this is a second draft or attempt at the layout.

Masterful image showing the thought in motion and process of the master. I consider myself lucky to even own something of this quality and subject matter! Unfortunately Roy passed away in 1983. I value this art even more knowing that there will never be another image drawn. Roy was the man!"

Wonderful piece! Great staging and composition as always from RGK and the beautiful tonality of it makes it read like a painting.
