Though there are over 500 original art items, every single lot was still hand-selected to meet the quality standards of the ComicLink Featured Auction. Each and every lot is worthwhile to consider, as you will see when you browse the entire Original Art session. Prime Steve Ditko Spider-Man pieces and numerous, exceptional Jack Kirby works join a multitude of treasures created by artists ranging from Hal Foster to Jim Lee! Now that the current Featured Auction is underway, we are accepting consignments and dishing out generous advances for original art placed to the February 2014 Featured Auction which will commence on February 12th. It is never too early to consign, and in fact, the growing auction preview is already posted and consigning early will provide more exposure to potential bidders! Consignors of original artwork have been enjoying exceptional results within ComicLink auctions. The August Featured Auction was a case is point, as was the May 2013 Featured Auction. Our track record for sellers is strong. All of our Featured Auctions in 2013 and 2012 yielded strong results for our consignors ( also see 2/2013, 11/2012, 8/2012 and others), including; $221,000 for the 16 page Kirby story for the Thor #134 story, $100,000 for an Amazing Spider-Man #29 page (a new record price by far for any panel page), $76,000 for Ditko's splash page of Dr. Strange in Strange Tales #125, $46,000 for an FF #16 page featuring the Thing, $41,500 for a 2/3 splash from Daredevil #16, $39,000 for Gil Kane's Avengers #139 cover, $37,000 for a panel page from Hulk #3, $36,555 for Jim Lee's 1991 X-men poster and TPB cover, over $16,000 for the cover of Witchblade #2, and there have been many more eye popping results.
