Description

Fantastic Four "The Olympics of Space" storyboard 33 by Jack Kirby (DePatie-Freling 1978): Jack Kirby is one of comic's greatest artist, but I never expected to own an original until this opportunity came up. There is no member of the Fantastic Four, but I love the action of the FF pogo plane rising from the Baxter Building and flying away to Florida. It reminds me of the Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds. My first exposure to the Fantastic Four was the 1960's cartoons on Saturday morning. These followed the Lee and Kirby stories of the FF's early days. This example is from a subsequent cartoon series, but it is a very happy acquisition.
