Description

I wanted Oliver to draw Typhoid Mary in a creepy place and what better than the abandoned North Brother Island where the REAL Tyhphoid Mary was held against her will (to protect others). Composites from different images from the island were used. The building in the background is the main facade.

From DailyMail.co.uk: "North Brother Island is situated in the Hell Gate, a treacherous section of the East River between The Bronx and Riker�s Island. Stairwells strewn with debris and walls crumbling slowly to dust, it is the island that New York forgot for 50 years. Lost world: The main staircase in the western wing of the nurses building is littered with leaves and crumbling debris".
