If these are inked recreations you should note that in the description before attempting to sell. I own the original of this piece. Some of your others are also not originals. Just a heads-up.

These were purchased eons ago from a dealer in California, it was a package deal with the two FF4 pages. That being said, I am going to contact Adams through Fog City Art Exchange, as a fellow Adams fan I would be more than upset to find out some scumbag scammed me or possibly others. I'll get back to everyone to let you guys know what I find out.

This is *not* Art Adams' work. It's a fake.

Sorry to have to confirm what Tim said, but I also have a "version" of this Wolverine. Probably like you I bought it from "Brand X Graphics" out of CBG years ago. I bought mine around 1991 along with a Longshot which turned out to be traced off an original Longshot mini-series page- which I later owned and was able to actually lay the piece over. Unfortunately this dealer was notorious for doing this and for years there were a ton of these things floating around. The real Wolverine is/was owned by another So Cal collector- which is how I came to find out mine was fake. The Rogue is definitely fake as are the rest if they came from the same source. A friend of mine literally just sold the real Colossus on ebay a month or two ago. I had Arthur authenticate it in person so he could sell it with a clean conscience. I kept a scan and can post it in my CAF along with scans of my fakes if you like.

That's the place, kinda makes me wish he was located closer so I could have a nice discussion with him. Any idea how I can varify my others, Fog City is all dead links on the contact. And thank you for bringing this to my attention, I have had all this stuff packed away and only recently took it out to show it. Lots spent on framing and BAM!! Not the news I expected. I do want to say thank you for letting me know, now I feel we'll, I'm sure you know as you must have felt similar with your piece.

Hi Owen. Im so incredibly sorry to hear you got scammed. Stuff like this makes my blood boil. Regarding Arthur, Ive already been in touch with him via email about an hour ago. Joyce responded stating that Arthur was out but will be home soon and will e-mail me with confirmation but Joyce also stated, from her own observations, that these were fakes. If you drop me a line at tdog10000@aol.com I can forward the official statement once I hear back from Art. Again, Im very sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. There was a fake Batman floating around a number of years ago as well. I owned the original and a friend got stuck with the fake. Im certain it was recreated by this same scam-artist. That piece was destroyed.

I have recently learned through some of the members here that these sketches are not what they were promised to be, I am not alone as one of the poor individuals scammed by Brand X Graphics. I was in a horrible accident a few years back with a drunk driver resulting in a broken neck rendering me un-hireable and finally considered letting them go to help pay some bills, not going to do that now. The guys on this site are great and even thought the news was bad I still need to say thank you for your help. I will leave them up, but will not be selling any of them. Thank you guys. Owen
